You Don't Have to Tidy Before We Clean, Here's Why
Almost everyone does it: a quick sweep through the house before the cleaner shows up, or before sending photos for a quote. It's a normal instinct, and it's also not necessary.
Photos of the space exactly as it is, mess and all, are what let a quote be honest in the first place. They tell us what supplies to bring and how long to actually block out, which means no surprise upcharge on the day and nobody rushing at the end to make the time work.
What that looks like in practice
Send photos of the kitchen with dishes still in the sink. Send the bathroom as it looks on a normal Tuesday. The mess is the information, not something to apologize for or hide before we see it.
This is the whole point of a cleaning service: you get your evening or your weekend back, not one more chore added on to prepare for the people coming to remove the chores.
